About Tom

BSc (Hons) Exercises & Sports Science: University of Exeter

REPS Level 3 Personal Trainer

Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist: National Strength & Conditioning Association

With over 10 years experience in the fitness industry my passion is helping people achieve their health and fitness goals by getting people stronger and moving more freely. I have been training and going to the gym for over 15 years now and I know what it takes to enjoy training and to remain fit and healthy.

My main area of expertise is fat loss and health and fitness for the general population. Another area of focus is working hand in hand with Osteopaths and Physiotherapists to rehabilitate clients from minor injuries back to full fitness. I am also an experienced boxing coach.

I have a wide range of clientele from lawyers, accountants, working parents to weekend warriors. To help my clients get started with their training I use a wide range of movement assessments and screenings.  Through these assessments I devise detailed training programmes that ensure my clients achieve their short and long term goals pain free.

Some of my experience has been gained through working in the Strength & Conditioning team at Bath Rugby Club within the Premiership Rugby Union League as well as working as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Esher Rugby Club in the Championship Rugby Union League. I have also worked with racing drivers in GP2 and LeMans Racing.  For the last 10 years I have worked as a Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning Coach in London. Alongside my day to day Personal Training in London, I have lectured at the University of Kent delivering the Strength and Conditioning module to Under Graduate Sports Science students.

Values and Standards

Honest, Personal and Committed: My training is designed for you and your personal goals only. I always put my clients first and will not make false claims.  I use scientific knowledge, research and continual education to underpin the approach I take and training I do with my clients.

Achievable and Long Term Goals: Progression over time with the intent to set up habits and standards to enable you to stay healthy and continue exercising for life. People understandably exercise mainly for aesthetic goals, however exercise is vital to live a long healthy and stress free life.

My aim is to have well thought out programmes and technically sound exercises that are accessible and doable. I have found this especially works for people who have many time constraints and lack the motivation and drive to exercise.

Hard Work, Consistency and Fun: If you are able to work hard in and out of the gym on a consistent basis while enjoying the process, you definitely will be able to achieve your goals. I am here to help you on your journey to a fit and healthy life.
